Are there outright benefits of burning incense? Or is it almost a placebo affect? I haven’t really done any research on it, but whenever I burn incense I just feel… better. I’m not sure how to describe it. Perhaps it’s association with one of my favorite restaurants which regularly has it burning, perhaps it’s simply the smell, perhaps it’s watching the smoke twist as it rises… I don’t know, but it seems to make things nicer somehow.

"This idea that back then we had made a ‘gay’ movie, [Megan] was a ‘gay’ cheerleader, and now I’m a ‘gay’ prisoner … is such a glaring injustice. You would never say, ‘Oh what’s this movie about?’ ‘It’s this guy, he’s a straight lawyer and he falls for this straight doctor and they go on a straight honeymoon.’"

I’m just a gay nerd looking forward to the next GSA meeting because I met so many cool fellow gays at the last one

yes, allies don’t belong in safe spaces, but closeted people do, and “allyship” offers them a way in that i’m not sure they’d get otherwise

Oh hey the night I become more of a body less of a static. Oh hey the night I realized it was okay to reflect my shivering hummingbirds. Oh hey the night I said hello to the distance of my heart. Oh hey the night my life of trying to move dust through light became even more so. Gosh bless Annie Clark.
